My sister lived close to this area on the Botswana border and I had the opportunity to visit an area very very isolated and untraveled. Some of these trees have lived here for many many decades in this harsh land and by overcoming obstacles have grown tall and strong as if they will live forever.
Taking away something of this experience not only in painting of trees but also in the feeling these painting evoke. May mother loves this painting for she likes to walk for miles and miles and to take the little paths that appear the deeper you move into the bush.
