Nelia Brooks is an amazing farmer. She used to be on the National Brahmans Council for South Africa and in the last few years they have added a dairy farm that is growing from strength to strength. These Jerseys are very special and their milk most precious so when evening comes they are slowing led to be milked. Taking a few bites on the way is no problem
As Nelia said, she like this painting very much because she recognises her animals individually. I do think Jerseys have sweet faces. They look so innocent and docile, just demanding to be treated gently
