This little boy and his sister was photographed in a studio and I was asked to do a painting of the photograph.
I do not think studio lighting is the best for a painting for it takes out all the dramatic contrasts and subtle shadows and force a silhouette. But I did my best, But painting is a learning experience and there are a lot of things that I have learned over the years by painting things that were less that perfect and even while wishing I could break free of the restraints place on you by the specific instructions of the clients. But in the end you have to make the most of each opportunity and do your best.
